How to cut glass the right way
Glass cutting isn't the easiest thing to do, but if you do it right it will work just fine, first you need to do is CLEAN the glass and then measure and mark your cut (measure twice cut once) then oil the blade and the cut line you want to cut, then get a straight edge, after that, first score a small selection upward then with one clean pass score the glass on one side repeat the cut until the groove in the glass becomes pronounced (usually two or four passes depending on the thickness of the glass). and then flip the glass over and repeat the process, then put a piece of wood directly under the cut and split the glass by applying force equally on both sides of the cut, then briefly run sandpaper along the cut edges to ensure that any loose pieces are removed and the edges all smoothed to prevent injury.
