For those who need a great saw on a budget The SKIL TS6307-00 10" Jobsite Table Saw has a 25-1/2” (64.77cm) Rip Capacity and is equipped with a 15-Amp motor, integrated foldable legs, rack & pinion fence rails, and a dust port elbow to keep your jobsite clean. The 15-Amp motor quickly rips through hardwoods with ease, while the rack & pinion fence rails make fence adjustments fast, smooth, and accurate. With its 0-45° bevel capacity, the quick release lever allows for cuts between two positive stops at 0 and 45 degrees, and its 4x4 cutting capacity allows for swift 90-degree cutting. The integrated foldable legs seamlessly form into a folding stand to provide portability and convenience, or when folded they make a level surface that will easily sit in a workbench while the dust port elbow systematically redirects dust to a container for easy cleanup. The parallel blade alignment allows for ease of blade adjustment along the rip fence and miter slot, for precise accurate cuts. This table saw features a safety anti-restart switch in case of power outages. This large coated cast aluminum tabletop saw comes equipped with a 10” 24-tooth carbide blade

For those looking for a higher end and more costly saw the DEWALT DWE7485 Maximized for accuracy and capacity this 8-1/4 inch table saw includes on-board storage for blade guard assembly, non-through cut riving knife, anti-kickback pawls, blade change wrenches, miter gauge and push stick. The powerful DEWALT 15 amp, 5800 RPM motor allows users to complete a majority of applications. The rack & pinion fence allow for fast, easy adjustments and provides the capacity to rip 4x8 sheet goods, but doesn't not included an integrated stand, stand is sold separately, making this saw much more costly

I also have an older version of this saw (about 13 years old) and it is still working very well although it is beginning to breakdown on me, when able to get the newer model I'll review and compare the two.

Finally got my hands on this saw, right out of the box it was perfect, every setting was square, the saw has a few features I really like, you can lock it in place to be a standard miter saw or unlock it and have the slide function, it has a depth adjustment so you're able to make repeat cuts at the same depth each time, with dual Bevel and a large cutting field, the LED shadow line can turn on and off and helps make very accurate cuts, the blade that came with the saw is very sharp and gives a flawless cut, with the option of either a dust extraction port or the included dust collection bag (bag for out of shop use and the dust port for extraction with dust extractor) or just let it fly! Blade changes are very easy and user friendly, comes with removable hold down clamp and side extensions, the table swings to the many usually used degrees with positive stops at those specific degrees, and locks in place very strongly and with no movement once locked in place, this is a very versatile and cost efficient saw, if you need a saw and don't have a lot of space for the traditional sliding miter saw this is a definite buy, if your in need for a miter saw you cannot go wrong with this purchase. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Update, the dust collection on this saw is horrible, it's more like just a dust spreader, it just goes everywhere unfortunately

One of the new innovative compound sliding miter saws is the BOSCH GCM12SD 15 Amp 12 Inch Corded Dual-Bevel Sliding Glide Miter Saw with 60 Tooth Saw Blade, this saw will fit on normal size work benches without needing to extend anything to accommodate the sliding feature.

This is the other white whale of miter saws and I would love the chance to try it out and express my opinion on how it stacks up to miter saws with rod sliding features

the WEN 12 in. Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw. Our powerful 15-amp motor slices through even the hardest of woods, providing 5000 blade rotations per minute. This versatile saw bevels and miters up to 45° in either direction with a front bevel control for fast and easy adjustment. Cut boards up to 13.25 inches wide and 4.5 inches thick or make compound cuts (45° bevel and 45° miter) in boards up to 9.25 inches wide and 3.125 inches thick. The saw features 9 miter stops: two at 15 degrees, two at 22.5 degrees, two at 30 degrees, two at 45 degrees and one at 0. However, if a more unique angle is preferred, the miter lock still allows the saw to lock at any angle between those stops. The onboard LED cutline guide casts a shadow against the blade to illuminate your line of cut for maximum accuracy while the dust collection port allows for connection to either the included dust bag or your dust collection device of choice. This spacious saw also features a 6-1/2-inch crown molding nested capacity and a 6-1/2-inch base board vertical capacity. This package includes an 80-tooth carbide-tipped blade with a 1-inch arbor (model BL1280), two quick-lock table extension support arms, two adjustable support fences, one quick-clamp assembly, a dust port, a dust bag, and a carrying handle. And, because it’s a WEN product, your miter saw comes backed by a two-year warranty

i haven't yet been able to try this saw out but for the price I don't think you could go wrong with the WEN sliding miter saw, but then again I can't comment on quality unlees I can get this saw, If I do my review will be posted at such time

This saw would be a great beginner saw for a very reasonable price

The Evolution R185CCSX, came packed very well, the tracks were carefully packed and were spotless upon opening, I was extremely impressed that it came with a rip guide as well as the track, I recently acquired another brand Cordless saw and was extremely disappointed that it didn't come with one, so I had to buy a 3rd party rip guide, not happy with they would leave that out, with the Evolution you get the track and a rip guide, the tracks are easy to assemble and is a very good quality track, you can add on as many tracks as you want with the way the track attachments work, which is 2 pieces of metal that perfectly joins them together, and aligns them perfectly straight, the anti slip rubber is well adhered and grips extremely well, the saw blade that comes with the saw is a basic rip blade and that's exactly what you'd expect with a saw for ripping down sheet good, the blade change Allen wrench is neatly tucked away so it won't get in your way and it will always be right there in the saw for you when you need to change out a blade,

The only problem I've had so far is that this particular model doesn't come with track clamps, but that's easily rectified with a quick jump over to Amazon.

If you want the best option go with the next model up that comes with the clamps and everything, buy if you're in the market for a very reasonably priced track saw you can in a pinch use a quick grip clamp with this model. And I promise you won't be disappointed, and with this saw you can use it as a regular saw as well, it's a universal option tracked or just a regular circular saw which I happen to think is an excellent idea, where as other tracks saws are specifically designed for track use, and you probably wouldn't want to have it out on a jobsite, (ie. Framing a house or building a fence) the Evolution is a jack of all trades it's a robust saw that I would definitely be comfortable with using it as a job site saw and then be confident that I could plop it back in the track and still be able to rip down sheet goods whereas other track specific saws I wouldnt be a fan of different versatilitys, I would be afraid of damaging it and with the prices of those saws compared to this one, I would baby the more expensive ones, so all in all if you want a saw that you can be confident with at the job sites and then take it into the shop and produce quality cuts, I honestly think this is the way to go, and it won't break the bank, whereas the other track saws will and you'll probably only want to use them for the track setup so if you need more then one saw you'll be buying 2 instead of the Evolution that you can be sure you can buy one saw and use it for more applications then the others, my honest opinion is BUY ONE. You won't be disappointed.

These are the clamps i bought for the track for the EvolutionR185CCSX and they work extremely well and are less than 20 bucks you cant lose!.

These clamps also work with dovetail jigs, they are the perfect size for the standard 14° dovetail, they are extremely efficient when clamping down and have excellent clamping force, these have rubber grips for extra comfort, I'd highly recommend these especially if you need a large number of clamps.

This saw is great for cutting sheet goods and dimensional lumber, this is my go to saw when power is out of the question, it's a good inexpensive saw that cuts amazingly well, the only bad things about this particular saw is it doesn't have a blue break and doesn't  come with a rip guide, for an alternative accessorie see down below to the Milescraft guide

For a more costly amount I'd recommend the dewalt DCS570B, but yet still does come with a standard rip guide, but is more suitable for the field if you're a DEWALT loyal person this is absolutely the saw to have

This is a very expensive cordless saw for the absolute professional

I've heard raved reviews of this saw and hopefully I'll be able to try it out and put my stamp of approval on it

Milescraft 1403 Universal Saw Guide for Circular and Jig Saw

For saws the do not come with a rip guide, The improved Milescraft SawGuide allows users to make the precision cuts of a table saw while using hand-held circular or jig saws. The SawGuide turns your circular saw into a guided cutting tool that makes straight, accurate, repeatable cuts in large stock such as plywood and MDF. This helps users improve speed and provide confidence while making accurate, repeatable cuts. The SawGuide is a universal system that works with most saws and creates straight, angle, bevel, and rip cuts. The SawGuide works in both right and left handed circular saw configuration to accommodate all users. By flipping the unit over and attaching a jig saw, you can create perfect circles up to 24 in. Dia

I use this guide on my Ryobi 7 1/4in circular saw and it works great, it is universal so if you have a saw without a rip guide this is the accessory for you, unfortunately quite a few of the newer cordless saws do not come with the rip guide, and at around 15 dollars this is a very inexpensive solution, it attaches to the saws shoe tightly and stays in place, Milescraft makes a great line of all different tool accessories, check them out and maybe you'll see something you never knew you needed and will make your work easier more efficient and higher quality.
